2022 IMMEL Riesling

IMMEL is Rheinhessen's answer to Savoir Vivre characterized by centuries-old viticultural tradition infused with contemporary know-how and authentic regional identity. The Immel family stands behind it with their name.

IMMEL

Today Rheinhessen is one of the most innovative winegrowing regions in all of Germany. Immel follows the idea of producing authentic wines from organic viticulture. Georg Rieser is the creative mind behind Immel. Training companies such as Wagner-Stempel, Weingut Wittmann and Domaine Dagueneau show his pursuit of excellence and love for terroir wines. As the father of two sons, organic viticulture is an important quality parameter of individual wines and also a promise to future generations.

VITICULTURE & VINIFICATION

The Immel Riesling gets gently fermented in stainless-steel and aged on the full-lees, to bring the wine into the right balance. This Riesling is characterized by charming fruit aromatics with an animating palate.

TASTING NOTE

A fresh and juicy Riesling defined by its lively acidity and marked minerality. Elegant with a playful freshness redolent of citrus and pineapple. Flavours of yellow fruit on the palate meander into a long, wonderful finish. An impeccable Riesling for everyday enjoyment.

PRESS REVIEW

„A self-confidently individual wine which intertwines flinty and ripe citrusy elements in a fascinating way. Juicy fruit on the front palate, but there’s a pronounced chalky minerality in here too, and that drives the long crisp finish.” – Stuart Pigott, James Suckling – 92 Points
